The one problem with buying safe lists is that you don’t know how many peoplehave bought the same safe list; that means that list may get a hundred e-mails from a hundred people they do not know. How many would open those e-mails or would they just delete them all?

There are still one or two out there that offer a single opt in, but double opt in is really the way to go. This will ensure that everyone that subscribes to your list has to do it to a confirmation link in which helps with all the anti-spam laws, and make sure customers feel better about your list.
